Surveys
Our Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Antwerp offices each have their own qualified marine and non-marine surveying staff ready to offer the advantage of their vast experience in the following fields:
- Damage surveys on a wide range of cargoes and commodities including:
- Foodstuffs (fresh, chilled and frozen)

Claims Adjustment and Settlement
Our experienced claims adjusting staff enjoy good business relationships with the many foreign Underwriters whom we represent and as a result are able to offer a prompt and efficient claims settlement service to local claimants and to assist in resolving any disputes or difficulties that may arise.
Recoveries
Are dealt with by our own specialized Recovery Department, which employs staff with extensive expertise. As and when necessary we can call upon prominent local lawyers with whom we have developed close co-operation to assist in achieving successful recovery results.
General Average
Our claims department staff offer a full service to Underwriters and/or Assureds in cases of General Average.
Motor Vehicle Accidents
With the appointment by and approval of the Belgian and Dutch Motor Insurance Bureau’s we are able to protect the interest of and negotiate the settlement of claims on behalf of many important foreign motor vehicle Underwriters.
P & I Correspondents
Following the needs and evolution of the Lloyd's Insurance Market, for the Benelux we are appointed correspondents for the new Fixed Premium P&I Facility by Lloyd's Syndicate. In this capacity, we can provide the required services, such as:
- Gathering of the useful and required information and evidence
- Notification of claims and provision of progress reports
- Appointment of surveyors, lawyers, consultants …
- Investigation of claims and casualties
- Negotiation and issuing of security to third party claimants
- Claims handling, such as provision of time bar extensions,
negotiation and settlement of claims
Dependent on our principals’ requirements we are able to provide a wide variety of information covering survey / claims and recovery statistics for the Benelux countries, which may be useful to assess, analyze and compare different aspects of loss / damage affecting particularly large accounts.
